Hydrocoll
Hydrocoll is a self-adhesive, absorbent hydrocolloid dressing covered with a semi-permeable layer to prevel bacterial penetration. The hydrocolloids transform into a gel and form a moist wound environment which has a stimulating effect on granulation and epithelialisation. It is felxible and conformable can be moulded onto the body's contours; can be removed painlessly.
Contraindictions:
Do not use on patients who may be allergic to any ingredients.
Hydrocoll shall not be used on sores extending into muscle, tendon or bone, on clinically infected wounds or third-degree burns.
Can be cut to size.
Can remain in place for up to 7 days
